Avian Health Guarantee
At Little Grey Companion, we take great pride in the health and well-being of our birds. Our parrots are raised in a clean, disease-free environment and are socialized daily. We provide this guarantee to give you peace of mind as you welcome your new family member.
1. General Health Warranty
We guarantee that at the time of pickup or shipping, your parrot is in good health and free of any known diseases or parasites. Every bird leaves our care with:

A Hatch Certificate (including hatch date and parentage).

DNA Sexing Results (if applicable).

Complete Vet Records showing a clean bill of health from a certified avian veterinarian.
2. The 72-Hour “Health Check” Window
We highly recommend that you have your new companion examined by a certified avian veterinarian within 72 hours of receiving the bird.

If the veterinarian discovers a pre-existing life-threatening medical condition or a chronic disease during this initial 72-hour period, we will offer a replacement bird of the same species (when available) or a full refund of the purchase price.

To claim a refund or replacement, a formal written report from the avian veterinarian must be provided to Little Grey Companion within 24 hours of the exam.
3. Disease Testing
Our birds are screened for common avian pathogens. Our guarantee covers the following major diseases if tested for within the initial 72-hour window:

Psittacine Beak and Feather Disease (PBFD)

Polyomavirus

Chlamydophila psittaci (Psittacosis)

Pacheco’s Disease
4. Limitations of Coverage
This guarantee becomes null and void if any of the following occurs:

The bird is not examined by an avian veterinarian within the 72-hour window.

The bird is exposed to other birds not owned by Little Grey Companion before its initial vet check.

The bird is injured due to accidents, negligence, or improper diet (e.g., feeding toxic foods like avocado or chocolate) after leaving our care.

The bird is subjected to stress-related illness caused by improper habitat temperature or excessive handling during the first week.
5. Finality of Sale
Except for the specific health conditions mentioned above, all sales are final. We do not offer refunds for “buyer’s remorse” or for behavioral issues (such as noise or nipping), as these are natural traits that require training and patience from the owner.
